I will admit in my teens I was a brony. I didn't feel the show was anything other than an average cartoon. It wasn't as deep as many claims. It was a nice show to play in the background and watch on Saturday when you are just waking up. Maybe childish but I could be doing worse.
I first head of Bronies from the song Discord by The Livings Tombstone. That is why I became a brony the musical side of the fandom was amazing. So today's post is on Bronies and Furries something I thought died years ago however daddy who is new to the internet revised the dead meme. So because I have been in both fandoms lets see what Paul has to say.
Furries claim to be a mere fandom.
That is true we are just a fandom that likes anthro animals
That’s it, move on, nothing to see here.
What do you think we are? Some sort of cult? LAMO the cult of furryism... You know what I like the sound of that.
What is a fandom?
According to the dictionary: fans of a particular person, team, fictional series, etc. regarded collectively as a community or subculture.
Wikipedia: A subculture composed of fans characterized by a feeling of empathy and camaraderie with others who share a common interest.
So it is just a group of fans with a common interest.
Brony: My Little Pony
Furry: Anthro animals
It’s very much like a fan club. For example, people who like Ford Mustangs might join a Mustang club
In the auto community, we call that crowd control. There are a lot of Mustang jokes.
The Furry fandom is a fake fandom; it’s a cover
A cover for what? You have yet to explain how it is a fake fandom.
Furries like to compare themselves to other fandoms that focus on animation characters and art.
Because that is what we are. A fandom that centers around art and anthro animals. It's not rocket science Paul.
“Hey, we are no different than any other club that has a common interest in something; nothing here, get a life and move on.”
I think he's trying to imply that furries have some sort of secret agenda or some shit. The Furluminati
In the Furries’ avid defense of their sect against my criticism, they are fond of bringing up the Bronies.
"criticism" basically a very bias look with many errors.
Who are the Bronies?
Furries in denial
Well, they are men who are big fans of the movie, My Little Pony.
Remember this is a research group this man is doing research. Bronies are older fans (usually teen and up) that are into the TV show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Google is your friend Paul.
And, they are very weird. And, they are big into My Little Pony art and other things Pony
And furries are the same just with anthros and MLP again yall bronies are just furries in denial.
but they are not the only fan club that is weird
True I know this one fandom that drinks the blood of its founder.
But, they are a legitimate fandom, and an excellent opportunity to further understand Furryism by comparison and contrast.
Truthfully I am disappointed he didn't do much to compare the two fandoms. Also, we are now Furryism.
As you might suspect, anything that can make a connection of interest between adult men and little girls is bound to be exploited by some
People exploiting a community for there own sick urgers never that is something people don't do.
but you have to look hard for actual cases.
No, you don't Paul. From 2012 to 2016 I have seen some shit. Worse than furry. I'll make a post on this topic later.
Most Bronies are young males of the Millennial generation age, which makes sense because the Millennial generation is opposed to what they call, “toxic masculinity.”
From what I could tell and I could be wrong Toxic masculinity from what I could tell just mean asshole. Basically, true manliness is like Mr. Rogers.
In contrast, decadent, criminal, and adverse behavior by the Furry sect can be found everywhere you point a stick
I was going to be snarky and mention the fact that he said this as a Christian. But I'm not going to bring up cultural genocide, slavery, countless wars, general genocide, forcing people to belive the faith (Christianity didn't get to were it is with love and peace). The hundreds and thousands of examples of pedophilia, child abuse, mental abuse, and the list goes on. But I'm not going to mention that. What I will mention is that I could easily find bronies doing the same and in other fandoms.
Bronyism is all about the ponies, but Furyism is about many other things normally not discussed in open settings.
Like what? Liking cartoon animals? Fursuiting, drawing what? I talk about furry with my nonfur friends most of them think it is cute. And yes they are aware of the more adult aspect. They also understand behind closed doors and consenting adults.
Furyism has more baggage than an Amtrak train.
Paul doesn't act like your pedo cult doesn't have its baggage.
Also, Bronies may use internet handles, but hidden identities are rare
Goddamnit, dude. You really don't have a clue, do you? That is what the handles are just a representation of our selves without using our real names. And avatars FFS I really am talking to an internet noob.
The excuse for that follows: it’s a good idea to hide your identity on the internet because of identity theft.
Paul… We use handles like Dub Mutt for a reason. Just from your blog alone I know the state, city, wife's name, You have children and where your church is. Do you really lack the understanding of using alternate names? Like do you not grasp common seance?
Maybe its because I take cybersecurity very seriously because I understand the danger of using my real name on the internet.
At the beginning of my journalistic journey
“journalistic” … Well maybe by Fox News standards.
provoked by a change of leadership at the church I attended years ago, their silly answers and lame excuses told me that there was much more going on than the eyes could see. Once again, I find myself in the same situation.
I know right, You lost a case you became bitter that is why you are so focused on the faults of furries. After all being in both fandoms, I can tell you it's almost the same in many ways.
Nether do Bronies believe they are ponies. Bronies don’t believe their true identities are found in ponies.
You have not done any research, have you?
As we will see in future posts in this series, Furism has been classified as a mental dissociative disorder by many psychologists.
So has religion but we ain't going there. Also, source I could find any.
You know I am disappointed in this I honestly was expecting more and having fun with it. But no he didn't even go into how they are different.
